Advance operators help influence purchase of more Volvos

ADVANCE Construction has added another five Volvo excavators to its plant fleet after previous models “performed faultlessly”.

The Blantyre-based groundworks and civil engineering specialist snapped up its first Volvo compact excavators seven years ago, then more the following year. The firm has now purchased three EC140E excavators, a 1.8 tonne EC18D and a reduced swing ECR88D.

“Opting for Volvo has proved to be a good decision for us. The machines have performed faultlessly, they give a good return on the investment and not least have been well appreciated by our machine operators, so as we continue to expand, opting for more Volvo excavators hasn’t been a difficult decision,” explained Advance plant manager Gareth Mollan.

“One of the key factors to our continuing success and growth is retaining good excavator operators and so we take particular notice of their opinions. Needless to say we find ourselves ordering more and more Volvo-branded machines as they are much appreciated and very well-liked by the more discerning excavator operator.”
