22-YEAR-OLD Edward Massey has been named Terex Trucks’ Apprentice of the Year.
He is currently studying for a BEng (Hons) in computer-aided mechanical engineering while working within the hauler manufacturer’s technology department.
Edward was presented with the accolade at a ceremony in Dalziel Park Hotel in Motherwell after being shortlisted alongside colleagues Calum Bryson, Stuart Meek and Craig Steele.
HR director Paul Tierney said, “It was an extremely tough choice to make as the standards within this group were very high. We felt that Edward really went above and beyond what was expected of him over the course of his training. He has excelled at both the practical and studious elements of the programme and has continued to forge a successful career for himself within Terex Trucks. Edward, along with all of the graduates, have become valued members of the team.”
Applications for the 2018 apprentice scheme will open in March.
