BATHGATE-based haulage firm D&J Sibbald has scooped a prestigious award at the Transport News Scottish Rewards event, held recently in Glasgow.
The family-run business took the ‘Scottish Haulage Company of the Year’ title, describing it as the perfect way to kick-start the firm’s 85th anniversary celebrations.
Formed in 1933 by brothers David and John Sibbald, D&J Sibbald is today run by John’s sons, Russell and Ralph. Rusell said, “We are honoured to receive this award and would like to take this opportunity to thank our hard working team and loyal customers.”
The business operates a fleet of 15 trucks and 20 trailers, serving customers in various industries throughout the UK on tasks including the provision of transport services for civil engineering supplies, fast moving consumer goods, industrial manufacturing components and retail infrastructure materials.
D&J Sibbald also supports West Lothian gala day events which run throughout the summer, supplying trucks, trailers and drivers for procession floats.
