WHAT do golf’s Open Championship, Glasgow’s TRNSMT Festival and the Edinburgh Fringe have in common?
All three events included equipment hired from Jarvie Plant!
The Grangemouth-based firm, which recently opened its first English depot in Manchester, has been supplying machinery and equipment to a range of events this summer.
Golf was the sport of choice in July, with Jarvie providing handling and access equipment to the Scottish Open and Scottish Ladies Open at Dundonald Links in Ayrshire. The firm also sent kit to the Open Championship at Royal Birkdale, where a global TV audience watched Jordan Spieth win the famous Claret Jug.
“The forklift’s ability to have minimal impact on turfed areas, such as greens and fairways, was particularly appealing to the customer,” explained Ian Hutchison, Jarvie Plant’s sales director.
Accommodation, generators, power stores and tower lights were used at Edinburgh’s Fringe Festival throughout August, Meanwhile, Jarvie’s access access platforms, which can assist with rigging stage lighting, were used at the TRNSMT Festival in Glasgow Green, Rewind Festival at Scone Palace and the Tartan Heart Festival on the Belladrum Estate in Beauly.
“Our business is synonymous with supplying plant and equipment to construction sites, but we can also do so much more,” said Ian Hutchison. “We are seeing an increased demand from event organisers for our high quality equipment, so we very much regard this as a growth area.”
