New Bobcat attachment makes the cut

BOBCAT has added to its forestry cutter attachment range with the launch of the FRC150ST for use on the firm’s smaller skid-steer and compact tracked loaders.

The product complements Bobcat’s FRC150HT and FRC200HT high torque forestry cutter attachments, which are compatible with the larger machines Bobcat T770H and T870H and are said to provide cutting widths of 1.5 and 2.0 metres respectively.

Bobcat said 1.5m wide FRC150ST features “many improvements” over the previous FRC150 model. These include the fact it is manufactured almost entirely from Hardox and features a new fixed motor, said to offer greater output and efficiency. Bobcat added that the “enhanced” design also offers a new, lighter drum, with carbide teeth, new hose routing and greater performance and manoeuvrability.

The attachment has been designed for continuous work on bushes and trees 100 to 120 mm in diameter, intermittent use for trees with a diameter from 150 to 200 mm and occasional use on trees 220 to 260 mm in diameter.
