A fleet of JCB machines has a starring role in the latest movie in the long running Alien franchise.

Over 20 skid steer loaders, Loadall telescopic handlers and JS excavators will be seen onscreen in the new Alien Covenant film, directed by Ridley Scott, in what is the biggest product placement project in JCB’s history.

The machines have been wrapped in gold to give them a “futuristic” look and will appear in the film’s finale.

They were supplied with the help of JCB dealer Construction Equipment Australia to the movie set in Sydney, Australia. The film makers were also provided with the use of six JCB generators.

JCB Worldwide Marketing Director Michael Plummer commented, “This is the biggest product placement exercise in JCB’s history and involved more than £1 million worth of machines. Ridley Scott’s idea to wrap the machines in gold delivered a stunning result and is certainly an eye-catching addition to a film which will be seen by millions of people around the world.”
