GAP Hire Solutions picked up three awards at the Hire Awards of Excellence, including the Hire Achiever prize at a ceremony in London.
Kieran McCreery, an apprentice at GAP’s Kinning Park lifting depot, claimed the title of ‘Apprentice of the Year’ while Chris Ball, workshop manager at GAP’s Reading plant & tools, was named Workshop Manager of the Year and Hire Achiever of the Year. Chris is GAP’s product evaluator, responsible for both the technical evaluation of new products and enhancements to existing products. His reports help shape the business’ sourcing policy and supplier selection.
GAP also came away with a ‘Highly Commended’ accolade in both the Plant, Tool & Equipment Company of the Year (Turnover over £10million) and Catalogue of the Year (Hard Copy) categories.
Mark Anderson, GAP’s operations director (Plant & Tools) said, “It was a fabulous evening, we are very proud of what we have achieved. Chris Ball, Dan Craythorn (finalist in the Workshop Manager of the Year category) and Kieran McCreery never look for praise or recognition but instead get their heads down and work hard. I am delighted that their commitment and ‘One Team’ ethos has been rewarded.”
