New machine is cleared for action

MW Groundworks of Tarbrax, South Lanarkshire, has added a new Volvo EC140E to its fleet and has already deployed it to a large clearance project.

The machine joins an existing EC140D, EC210D and a zero swing ECR58 compact excavator purchased in 2015.

Proprietor Mark Wang said, “Since making the initial investment in purchasing Volvo equipment six years ago, we haven’t been let down, either by the product or the support we receive from Volvo’s Stirling support centre.”

MW Groundworks is heavily involved in forestry and woodland clearance, working on large private estates and for the Forestry Commission, Woodland Trust and a number of construction firms.

The new EC140E has been operating a heavy duty hydraulically powered flail on the clearance task. The machine is powered by Volvo Stage-IV compliant 4-cylinder engines developing 121hp.
