JCB is celebrating an order worth almost £9 million for the sale of more than 160 Loadall telehandlers to Nixon Hire.
The new fleet spans the four metre reach 516-40 Loadall through to the 17 metre reach 540-170 model. The machines have been bought through JCB dealer Scot JCB.
Graham Nixon, managing director of Nixon Hire said, “Nixon Hire is delighted to further cement its solid partnership with JCB with this large telehandler order. We pride ourselves in offering modern, technologically advanced products from market leading brands and JCB certainly meets this criteria. Having worked together successfully for many years, we know it’s a name we can trust to deliver a quality and reliable product to our customers.”
JCB’s UK and Ireland sales director, Dan Thompstone, added, “2017 is a momentous year for JCB Loadall telescopic handlers as we mark 40 years of production of a machine which quite literally changed the materials handling market beyond recognition. We are delighted to start what is a milestone year with a fantastic order from one of our biggest UK customers.”
Nixon Hire has also confirmed its multi-million pound acquisition of the Nottingham site previously owned by Hewden.
Graham Nixon added, “Many of the machines as part of this order will stock the recently acquired site in Nottingham. This new depot is in a prime location for Nixon Hire and falls in line with our plans for expanding our depot network further south. I can confirm that we will offer our customers products from each of our divisions to include plant, accommodation, toilet and welfare facilities.”
