Terex to put ‘Safety First’

Terex bauma safety pledge

Terex Construction recently announced its commitment to safety in the product development process.

The company launched its pledge to commencing “a process to ensure the highest levels of safety in the design and build of all compact equipment” at the recent BAUMA exhibition in Munich.

Each new Terex product from Coventry undergoes rigorous field trials and initial concept development. The design is then refined following feedback. Multiple safety checks are also undertaken.

Allison Tucker, Global Product Marketing Manager at Terex Construction, said, “Terex has always had a strong commitment to manufacturing the safest machines in the industry without compromising on performance. Our new pledge is the latest reiteration of that commitment, helping to meet customers’ needs, while utilising every part of the development and production process to guarantee the highest levels of equipment safety.”

Dale Camsell, group regulatory compliance manager, added, “Ensuring that the equipment we produce complies to international standards and regulations is a key corporate commitment. Our product range has all the necessary legislated features to guarantee safe and efficient operation.”

The company has also released a corporate video called ‘Safety First’ illustrating the pledge.
