GROUND Developments Ltd (GDL) has unveiled new plant machinery worth over £1 million and revealed plans for expansion to larger commercial premises.

The new equipment will increase the scope of projects the team can work on using their GDL Turbojet system.

Livingston-based GDL has invested in a High Pressure Triplex Group Pump which the firm said is the first of its kind to be introduced to the UK, and a SR45 Drill Rig that has been imported from Italy.

Kevin Mackenzie, commercial director for GDL said, “Our latest investment in plant significantly demonstrates both our investment, willingness and our capability to provide our services throughout the UK. We’re constantly looking at ways in which we can deliver innovative ground improvement techniques in the UK, and we’re leading the industry in the UK in our advances using GDL Turbojet DSM.

“This investment also comes at a time when we’ve secured new premises that will see us take ownership of a 24,000 sq ft commercial business space adjacent to junction 4A off the M8.

“Our new facility will provide bigger and better offices, as well as space to maintain and store our fleet of plant machinery, as well as a central location that offers our team easy access to our clients’ ground improvement projects across Scotland, as well as south of the border.”
