THERE’S a new addition to the Case D Series range of crawler excavators – the CX290D, which the firm says has been specifically designed for material handling applications.
An elevating cab gives operators views from a height of 5.06 metres. And a reversible fan cleans the radiators more effectively, keeping high performance in dusty conditions.
The model will also become available with goose necked arm and straight boom in the scrap loading version.
Case said, “With its superior reach and lifting capacity, it makes short work of moving all sorts of waste, logs, garbage and scrap.”
The new model also includes safety features including a device which prevents interference between the machine and its attachments through sensors placed on the bucket cylinder. Case said improvements to the pilot circuit reduce front attachment shock at full stroke, meaning a less shaky cab and better comfort.
Other new features include a new LED working light package, which is said to be more than three times brighter than its halogen equivalent.
