CUMBERNAULD-based Relentless Plant has been appointed as a dealer of A&Y Equipment for Scotland’s Central Belt and Borders regions.
The portfolio consists of Yanmar excavators, Ammann compaction equipment and Cormidi, Yanmar and Prinoth tracked dumpers.
Relentless founder, Andy Black, told Project Plant that Eddie Murray has joined the business as sales and service manager with a particular emphasis on the Yanmar excavator side of things.
Andy said, “It’s good to be associated with those kind of premium brands.”
Relentless will be showing off the Yanmar excavators for the first time at ScotPlant in April.
Peter Barfield, key accounts manager at A&Y Equipment, added, “Relentless are a relatively new company with a strong future in Scotland. Headed up by Andy Black and with sales managers Robert Dawson and Eddie Murray you have a very exciting team with many levels of experience.
“Relentless in the last couple of years have been making a name for themselves as a service company servicing and repairing steel tracks on excavators, along with supplying attachments and wear parts. With a large customer base already established of excavator users it becomes a straightforward fit to be selling Yanmar excavators, this then leads on to other products. If you dig it you have to flatten it, so the customer then needs compaction equipment, step up Ammann. Ammann make everything from a small compaction plate right up to a 25 tonne self-propelled roller.
“Relentless have five fully trained service engineers and a hose replacement van on the road so the customer has peace of mind. The product is as only good as the backup, something that has been a top priority with Andy.”
