GAP Hire Solutions has picked up a prestigious family business award.
The company won the Large Family Business of the Year award at the Scottish Family Business Awards. The awards, run by The Herald newspaper, recognise family businesses of all sizes and sectors.

GAP was started in 1969 by Gordon Anderson hiring out plant from one location in Renfrewshire.
Gordon’s sons, Douglas and Iain, later joined the business and are now the firm’s joint managing directors.
Iain Anderson said, “I am delighted with our Family Business of the Year win as we have always placed family values such as integrity, honesty and respect at the heart of our business.
“It is fantastic that this is being recognised. Over the past 46 years, we have worked hard to build the company from one location and believe that being family-owned is one of our biggest strengths as we are in full control of any decision that will affect the business.”
