HEWDEN has named Kumar Bhamidipati as marketing director, along with a number of other senior appointments, as part of a “sales and marketing realignment designed to drive market growth and a more customer centric approach”.
Kumar, who has a master’s degree in mechanical engineering, will be responsible for marketing strategy, product management and sales support. He has more than 20 years of experience with Hilti, Racold and Elco.
The move is part of a wider restructuring process, coinciding with the appointment of three new sales directors. Kumar will work closely with each sales director in implementing company strategies and ensuring the “optimum value proposition” for each market segment.
Hewden CEO Adrian Murphy explained, “Hewden is rapidly evolving into a far more customer centric business. This new structure will enable customers in the markets we have targeted to be clear around what innovation, value and choice means for them when dealing with Hewden.
The new sales leadership team includes Steve Smith, Lucy Furnival and Jeff Schofield.
“Hewden is a business with incredible resources,” added Mr Murphy. “Not only in terms of the vast products we stock, but more importantly, the people and the experience we have across our network. This new structure will help leverage those resources further, ultimately make it easier for customers to do business with us.”
