A-Plant has been named European Rental Company of the Year by the European Rental Association (ERA).
The firm received the prestigious accolade at the eighth European Rental Awards held in Rome during the ERA’s annual convention.
The awards are jointly organised by the ERA and International Rental News, and A-Plant was declared winner of the Large Rental Company of the Year category (turnover over €15 million). The ERA represents 5000 rental companies.
Asif Latief, A-Plant’s marketing director said, “We are extremely proud and privileged to be declared European Rental Company of the Year. Awards such as this are incredibly important as they are just not about A-Plant as a business, they are about our people and, as such, this award belongs to our 2,700 employees who work so hard and professionally each day.”
A-Plant received the award in recognition of the company’s commercial successes, multi-million pound fleet investment, staff development, commitment to reducing accidents across the industry and innovation in the rental industry. A-Plant’s capital expenditure over the last 12 months has reached £150 million.
During 2014, over 3,000 training days were held for A-Plant staff to help colleagues reach their full potential. Last year the company won the overall Apprentice Large Employer of the Year Award across the whole of Great Britain at the CITB Managing Agency Apprentice Awards 2014.
