THE first UK sale of a new Maximus 516 Vibrating Scalper, supplied by Cumbrian-based dealer Taylor & Braithwaite, has been purchased by L&W Wilson (Endmoor) Ltd, construction specialists, based near Kendal in Cumbria.

This deal was struck after Taylor & Braithwaite recently held a three-day working demonstration event at L&W Wilson’s quarry site, where they saw the machine in action.

The heavy duty 516 Scalper remains at Roan Edge Quarry, where it has already been put to work alongside L&W Wilson’s fleet of other construction machines. The Scalper will be used to screen a wide variety of materials and its end use will be used in aggregates and topsoil.

Why did L&W Wilson choose Maximus Crushing & Screening over its competitors?  “Competitive costs, excellent machine capabilities and the knowledge of Taylor & Braithwaite’s staff,” Said Alan Wilson, Managing Director of L&W Wilson.

L&W Wilson is a family run business that has been established over 40 years. The business has successfully grown and is now a well-respected and reliable firm, supplying various construction services including civil engineering, recycling facilities, demolition and plant hire.

“After seeing the 516 Vibrating Scalper in operation at the demonstration event and having the opportunity to test drive the machine myself, I was really impressed and thought it was ideal to support our operations at Roan Edge Quarry. The knowledge and support received from Taylor & Braithwaite is always excellent, so we had no hesitation with them supplying us with this machine,” added Mr Wilson.

Ian Burton, Sales Director, Taylor & Braithwaite said, “ We are thrilled with the sale of our first Maximus machine in the UK to L&W Wilson, we already have a well-established business relationship with the company, which we hope to continue with in the future.”
