AB2000’s expansion plans gather pace

TO support the firm’s ambitious expansion to Inverness and Aberdeen and in the Central Belt, AB2000 has bought six E-series Articulated Dump Trucks from Bell Equipment.

Bell accounts for the majority of AB2000’s fleet of 50 plus ADTs and the latest additions serve to increase their fleet and strengthen the relationship between the companies.

“AB2000 is one of the biggest and most reliable names in the plant hire industry,” said Sandy Fairweather, Scottish Sales Manager at Bell. “Maintaining their reputation depends on the company’s ability to supply the latest modern robust, fuel efficient and high quality machines that allow their customers to undertake jobs efficiently with minimum downtime.”

The new machines are B30E 30-ton trucks, part of Bell’s next generation E-series of ADT.  The E-series builds upon the proven legacy of the successful D-series already operated by AB2000.

The purchase will help AB2000 to meet demand at its new depots in Inverness and Aberdeen, supplying ADTs for use on construction projects that the company hopes will include the recently-awarded Aberdeen Peripheral Ring Road.

This acquisition will help AB2000, who were recognised earlier this year as the fastest growing company in a survey of 300 Scottish SMEs, as well as being a finalist in the ‘Employer of the Year’ category at the Scottish Business Awards, to continue their expansion.

“Bell is our predominant ADT supplier, for the key reason that we know what we’re getting,” said Adam Bruce, AB2000’s Managing Director.  “Their machines are durable, reliable, and fuel efficient.  Purpose built to withstand the varying and often challenging environments that our plant and equipment needs to work in.”
