A Hyundai R480LC-9A, supplied by Cumbria-based Taylor and Braithwaite, caught the eye of Thompsons Plant Hire when Managing Director Kevin Thompson saw it in action at the recent Hillhead exhibition.
The 48 tonne excavator is bound for Tarmac High Craig Quarry, where it will be put to work loading Thompsons Plant Hire’s new Sandvik QH331 Cone Crusher and QJ341 Jaw Crusher. The company have several other Hyundai machines with up to 6000 hours on the clock.
Kevin Thompson said, “We were really impressed seeing the Hyundai R480LC-9A in operation at Hillhead and it’s perfect to support our operation at High Craig Quarry. We have already purchased a number of Hyundai machines this year from Taylor and Braithwaite so we immediately went to them to supply us with this machine. Their After Sales support is excellent so we were happy to continue our relationship.”
Thompsons Plant Hire is a family run business founded in 1994. The firm has grown from an acorn with a couple of wagons and pieces of plant to a mighty oak with over 100 vehicles servicing several blue chip companies.
